A Marseille-born singer, musician, producer, and DJ based in Paris, GONTHIER navigates between French pop, club culture, and sonic experimentation. Blending lyrical songwriting with electronic textures, she crafts an artistic world where pop songwriting meets sound exploration, electro music, and the multicultural heritage of her native Marseille.

Trained in musicology across Aix-en-Provence, Berlin, and the EHESS in Paris, she contributed to multiple projects (Meisterfakt, Women of the Beat Generation, Anything Maria, Catherin…) and performed on landmark electronic stages (Berghain, Space Ibiza, a residency at Berlin’s Bastard club) before uniting vocals, lyrics, production, and DJing into a single solo project.

In 2020, she founded the label VERTICALE to release the compilations of the Barbieturix collective—an independent imprint dedicated to artists exploring similar sonic landscapes, with a dedicated focus on female voices and underrepresented talent.

Her solo project, GONTHIER, launched in 2023 with the EP Le Rythme de la Nuit, followed by a tour including dates at Petit Bain, Stereolux, BPM Festival, and the Cannes Film Festival. She is currently preparing her debut album Ville Fantôme (under embargo), scheduled for March/April 2027 and preceded by the lead single « Animale », out on October 9, 2026.
